Biography

Sam Orlando Harris (b. 2000) is a British composer based in London. Sam has had works performed in venues such as the Schola Cantorum in Paris, Milton Court Concert Hall, Silk Street Music Hall, and Barbican Cinema. His work has been performed by the Ligeti Quartet, EXUADI Ensemble and the Guildhall Orchestra, conducted by Jack Sheen.
 
Sam trained in composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with composers such as Sylvia Lim, Julian Phillips, Amber Priestley and Malcolm Singer. He also received training from the Nadia Boulanger Institute (EAMA).
 
Sam was born in Berkshire to a creative family. Outside music, Sam has a passion for arts and culture across all media, particularly musical theatre, film, television, and literature.
